Just added my Camaro to my insurance policy so it’s totally legal now! I printed out the temp card my agent emailed me and took a look at it. “Camero”. Sigh.

That misspelling angers me every time I see it.

Don’t look at Jake’s Boostang.

But that’s funny. An insurance card? Not so much.

So, no Hagerty then?

I don’t think it’s worth the added cost. If the car was worth more then it might be but as it sits Hagerty would have cost a bit more for no real gain.

Really? Did they quote you super high?

Yeah I worry about that every time I get new cards but my insurance at this point knows it by heart since the last 4 cars o have bought and insured have been Camaro's, lol

Not super high, just more than our regular insurance company charged to add it given the same coverage.

Yeah, but is it agreed value or ACV? I know you might not care if the car is really worth that little.

That’s the thing. The car is only worth maybe $5k-$6k as it sits. If it was all done and worth $10k or more then I think dedicated collector insurance like Hagerty would be a no-brainer.

Hagerty is crazy overpriced and were not friendly to me at all.
